ESAA MONTHLY LEAGUE 2012

HOW THE MONTHLY LEAGUE WORKS

The League fishes the first Wednesday of each month. It’s great fun to fish and all are welcome. Entry is £3 of which £1 goes to club funds, £1 to the monthly winner and £1 to the annual pool. The annual winner is the one with the highest accumulated score and wins the ‘Tom Shepard Trophy’ and a percentage of the annual pool. The league is so easy to fish as you’re awarded points for each sizable fish. Different points for different species and the top scorer on the night wins that leg. Match points for the league tables are then awarded thus: 8 points for first, 6 for second, 4 for third and 2 for everyone else fishing on the night.ESAA Minimum sizes apply but no need to weigh your fish unless you reckon it’s a specimen. Other ESAA fishing rules apply as usual but just for the monthly league, no feathers please. Fishing times are 7.30pm - 11pm GMT months while BST months are fished 7.30pm - 11.30pm. Sign-in is at the chosen venue from 7pm to 7.15pm. We weigh-in straight after the end of fishing and that’s when we choose the next month’s venue. The first match of 2012 is at Budleigh Salterton on 4th January and signing in at the top of Steamer Steps. Probably only fishing to 10.30pm on the first leg with the weigh-in in the Salterton Arms straight after: which is nice! Further info about the league is available from league organizers, Dave Thoburn on 07795517138 or Rich Gray on 07807619698. Tight Monthly League Lines for 2012!

2.         Fishing Boundaries are Avon and Somerset, Dorset and Devon and Cornwall.

3.         Fish anytime and anywhere you want within boundaries.  You can include fish caught during competitions as well.
